Runners’ strides save India lives
Run, walk, or just watch: Age doesn’t matter
Early bird registration is now open for the Second Annual Edison to India 5K Dash or Dally event. The fund raiser to benefit Christian Medical College and Hospital in Vellore, India, will take place in Edison, New Jersey, on Saturday, November 7.
Last year’s inaugural event was a huge success, drawing 124 participants ages eight to 82 and raising $50,000 to provide high-quality and often life-saving medical care for underprivileged patients. This year’s rally totals are expected to exceed even those impressive numbers.
As 2025 Race Director and Director of Donor Development at the Foundation, Mabel Haro reflected: “Seeing our community come together with so much joy and generosity was truly inspiring. Every runner, walker, volunteer, and sponsor played an integral part in making this inaugural race a success. This race wasn’t just about crossing a finish line—it was about moving forward together toward measurable impact from Edison to India.”
Edison is a suburb in the New York City metropolitan area, 35 miles from Manhattan, with high Indian and Jewish populations among its 107,000 residents. Participation in the rally is aided by Edison’s extensive public transit options.
This year’s event will be held in Roosevelt Park, one of the most beautiful parks in New Jersey.
